Tahquamenon Falls State Park
Home to the second largest waterfall east of the Mississippi River, the Upper Tahquamenon Falls.

The museum’s world-class exhibits tell the story of the haunting world of Lake Superior shipwrecks.
Whitefish Point Lighthouse
The oldest active lighthouse on Lake Superior. It was built during Abraham Lincoln’s presidency!
Whitefish Point Bird Observatory
Located 11 miles north of Paradise, Whitefish Point Bird Observatory is the premier migration hot-spot in Michigan. Jutting out in Lake Superior, Whitefish Point acts as a natural migration corridor, bringing thousands of birds through this flyway every spring and fall. With its wooded dune and swale complex, distinctive to the Great Lakes region, the Point witnesses a huge diversity of migrants. Home to numerous rare breeding birds, this Globally Important Bird Area has recorded over 340 bird species. Research conducted at WPBO significantly contributes to an ongoing effort to increase knowledge of bird migration, encourage public awareness of birds and the environment, and further critical bird conservation.
Crisp Point Light Historical Society
Crisp Point was one of five U.S. Life-Saving Service Stations along the coast of Lake Superior between Munising and Whitefish Point. Built in 1875 and named after Life Saving Station keeper Christopher Crisp. Learn More
Point Iroquois Lighthouse
Point Iroquois Lighthouse is a lighthouse on the south shores of Whitefish Bay. Point Iroquois and its light mark the division line between Whitefish Bay and the western end of the St. Mary’s River, the connection between Lake Superior and other Great Lakes.
North Country Scenic Trail
The North Country Trail is a long-distance hiking trail in the midwestern and northeastern United States. The trail extends roughly 4,800 miles. The trail runs across the upper peninsula with stunning views of Lake Superior.

Seney National Wildlife Refuge
Great for the Wildlife enthusiast, visitors encounter the cry of common loons, regal trumpeter swans, brilliant dragonflies, nesting bald eagles, and industrious beavers. Wildlife abounds in the refuges forests, marshes, pools, creeks, rivers, and bogs.
Whitefish Point State Dock
Whitefish Point Harbor is a shallow draft recreational harbor with more than 1,500 feet of breakwaters. This is a great place to launch and enjoy a day on Whitefish Bay.
Paradise Pathway Trail
Located in the State Forest near Paradise, you are sure to find the beauty of the Upper Peninsula along Paradise Pathway. This 3-loop, 8.2-mile trail is perfect for hiking and cross-country skiing.
